Wanda Faye Fields


Wanda Faye Fields, 90, of Crossville, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Cumberland House.
She was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Pickett County, daughter of the late of Carson Turner and Ora (Smith) Turner.
Wanda worked as a seamstress. She kept her faith all her life and was a member of the West Avenue Church of Christ. She enjoyed flowers, bird watching, and the company of her family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leroy Garrett; grandson, Samuel Garrett; great-granddaughters, Blaklee Garrett and Ashlee Garrett; great-grandsons, Rylee Garrett and Alex Garrett; sisters, Mary Lou Dillard, Betty Sue Hankins, Edna Sherrill and Camilla Phillips; and sister-in-law, Virginia Mae Turner, all of Crossville.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Waymon Fields; grandson, Stacy Earnest Garrett; and brothers, Clifford Turner and Cleo Turner.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Arlon Way and Bro. Tim Hester officiating. Interment in Pomona Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Sam Garrett, Blaklee Garrett, Rylee Garrett, Ashlee Garrett, Kenneth Phillips and Paul Turner.
Some of the music for the service was performed by Wanda's niece, Loretta, and her husband, Tex VanWinkle.
The family requests memorial donations to be made to Cumberland House, 30 East Adams St., Crossville, TN 38555.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
