Vaughn Lee Adams, 63, of Crossville, passed away June 2, 2011. Funeral services were held June 4 at Bible Baptist Church, with Bro. Donnie Wattenbarger officiating. Interment was held in Slate Springs Cemetery. Mr. Adams was born Aug. 23, 1947, in Cumberland County, the son of the late William Lee and Eliza Inez Myles Adams. He was a coal miner and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Stacy Spears Adams of Crossville; son Andrew Adams of Crossville; daughters, Stella Elaine Adams of Crossville and Cathleen Inez Miller of Jackson, KY; brothers, Chester Adams of Crossville and J.C. Adams of Crossville; sisters, Jennifer Norton of Crossville, Virginia Bennett of Soddy Daisy and Norma Jean Dixon of Crossville; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of very special friends from Kentucky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kristy Neace Adams; son, Todd Adams; brothers, Charles Adams and Alfred Adams; sisters, Shirley Huddleson, Louise Miller, Ann Vaughn, Thelma Taylor and Violet Adams; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Adams. Pallbearers were Wayne Adams, John Allen Adams, Kenneth Huddleson, Jamie Dixon, Jeff Bilbrey and Thomas Sherrill. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
