Tracy D Osborne Obituary
Tracy passed away peacefully on Aug. 28, 2021, at Cumberland Medical Center surrounded by all of her siblings.
She is formerly from Butler, PA, but has been living in the Crossville area with her late husband Duwayne L. Osborne since 1993. She has been employed the last 21 years by Dave Kirk Automotive as a receptionist and she had the most amazing customer service voice you could ever hear. Dave Kirk Automotive will never sound the same again.
She is survived by her beloved dachshund, Bailey; her sisters, Jennifer McKee of Chicora, PA, Becky Montgomerey of Renfrew, PA, Marcia Carter of Cookeville, Brandi Hilliard Bacome of Renfrew, PA; her brother, Thomas Sims III of Butler, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no service due to COVID but monetary donations can be made in Tracy's name to Dachshund Rescue of North America, drna.org. This is the rescue she adopted her baby Bailey from.
Tracy had never traveled more than 50 miles from home in her first 29 years. Not without apprehension, she packed everything she owned and moved to Crossville.
Once she got there, she got busy with setting up a home for her and DuWayne. The only way to get a phone before cell service was to get the phone company to come to your home, run wires, and connect your phone at the pole outside. This process used to take almost a week. She called me the day the phone got connected and told me she didn't know if she had done the right thing by moving. She said, "The phone book is eight pages of white paper, stapled together, and run on a copy machine." She felt she had moved to "Green Acres" and would have to climb the pole to make a phone call. She soon got used to the way things were done and fell in love with living there.
I will miss my sister every day for the rest of my life, but it is an honor to have shared her with the people and city of Crossville. You opened your arms to her and had her for almost 30 years. Thank you for taking care of part of my family. — Jennifer Mckee
