Crossville, TN - Our brother, Thomas "Troy" Parsons, passed on to be with the Lord Sept. 14, 2025. He was born to Thomas Troy Parsons and Evelyn Marie (Whittaker) Parsons on May 12, 1951.
Troy was a loving brother who always looked out for us as that older brother. He had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. He helped many people in his lifetime. Troy was born again, saved, on March 28, 2022, and faithfully served the Lord from that time on until our loving Savior called him home.
He had been sick for several years, yet, faithfully, soldiered on day-by-day. The past several months his health had declined, but he often said "I don't worry about dying for when the Lord calls, I'll go."
We loved Troy with all our hearts and he loved us just as much. Though our hearts are broken to have to part with him here, I know there is rejoicing in Heaven for he is with our loving Savior and loved ones already there. We can only imagine the joy and happiness Troy is experiencing, but one day we will stroll over Heaven together with him. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25, 26.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Parsons; step-daughter, Sandra Davis; grandson, Jeffrey Davis; and nephew, Robby Parsons.
Troy is survived by his granddaughter, Laci Storme Davis; great-grandson, Izeak Joseph Brown; brothers, Larry (Mary) Parsons and Bruce (Jennifer) Parsons; sisters, Elsie Robbins and Shirley (Donald) Beaty; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 4-6 p.m., the service followed at 6 p.m., with Art Palmer and Mike Reagan officiating. He will be laid to rest in Davidson Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, procession from the funeral home at 10 a.m.
