Crossville, Tennessee - Shirley lived most of her life in Paradise, a place in Northern California. When the town burned down in 2018 she relocated to Crossville.
Shirley loved this area, made many new friends and enjoyed building her new home. She loved to cook and baked many goodies for her neighbors, volunteered at Good Samaritans and enjoyed lunch with friends.
Shirley loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and looked forward to joining her late husband, Robert Brent. Her bright smile and lovely laugh will be missed by all who knew her. Shirley passed away at Cumberland House Hospice after a cancer diagnosis. She is survived by her mother, Betty Gates; sisters, Vicki Gronseth, Cheryl Murphy and Priscilla Gates; brother, Dan Gates; nieces and nephews.
