Ronald F. White


Ronald F. White, of Fairfield Glade, known to friends as Ron, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at the age of 81.
Ron was born on June 24, 1938, in Piqua, OH, to Arthur L. and Catherine A. (DeLoye) White. He attended Chaminade High School, then studied commercial art at Dayton Art Institute and architectural drafting at Sinclair College in Dayton, OH. Ron went on to study mechanical engineering at Tri-State College in Angola, IN.
For 35 years, Ron owned the C.S. Bell Co. in Tiffin, OH, which manufactures size reduction machinery. In 2006, Ron and Mary Vivian moved to Fairfield Glade to enjoy their retirement.
Ron had many hobbies that allowed him to engage his creative talents throughout his life. To earn spending money in high school and college, he played drums in a dance band. He loved jazz music and for many years held season tickets to Ohio Jazz Orchestra performances in Columbus, OH. Ron also employed his love of photography to record travels to Alaska and throughout Europe.
Additionally, he supported local arts and heritage councils in Ohio and served his parish churches in both Ohio and Tennessee. Ron was a Knight of Columbus and a Charter Member of St. Francis of Assisi Council 16088. He was also a Knights of Columbus member of Father Gabriel Assembly 2162.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Vivian (Rathweg) White; two sons, Daniel White (Teresa) and Timothy White (Nancy); three daughters, M. Catherine Rolsen-White (née Mary Catherine White) and husband Reece Rolsen, Ellen White-Khazrai (Morteza) and Laura White; seven grandchildren, Dustin White (Elizabeth), Navid Khazrai (Graciela), Zachariah White (Sara), Kian Khazrai (Mandy), Gemma White (and fiancé Nathan Brunk), Gabrielle White and Emma White; and three great-grandchildren, Maximus White, Jacob Weiker and Isabela Khazrai.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at St. Francis Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, with inurnment in St. Francis Columbarium. Luncheon will follow services. The family will receive visitors at 9 a.m. until the start of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (7501 Peavine Road, Fairfield Glade, TN 38558), Crab Orchard Care Center (87 Commerce Street, Crab Orchard, TN 37723) or Hospice of Cumberland County (30 E. Adams Street, Crossville, TN 38557) would honor Ron's memory and continue to serve the community that became his home.

I was so saddened to read this tonight. I remember you Dad so vividly with all the visits and stays at your house, long family dinners, sitting on his lap even and all the smiles and laughs. I am so sorry that. you have lost him here but he will be always there for you to talk life over with.
