Pauline "Polly" Potter, 65, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 23, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 26 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., with burial in Old Forest Hill Cemetery. Dennie Moore officiated. Mrs. Potter was born April 12, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, the daughter of George Carmack and Irene Mae Rector. She was a bookkeeper and homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Morris Potter; son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Marlene Potter of Crossville; daughter, Linda Gail Hassler of Crossville; grandsons, Lance Potter and Nicholas Potter of Crossville; brothers, George "Jr." Carmack and J.D. Rector, both of Crossville; and sisters, Kathryn Agee of Crossville and Sara Feagle, Phyllis Peters and Violet Milligan. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Carmack and Irene Mae Rector; brother, Edward Carmack; and sister, Mildred Austin. Pallbearers were Jason Agee, Jamie Agee, Bill Agee, Norman Wright, Ray Bowman and Randall Kennedy. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
