Pauline Adcox, 80, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 18, 2001. Funeral services were conducted Aug. 21 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Daniels officiated. Mrs. Adcox was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Harriman, TN, the daughter of Hershell and Gertrude White Hamilton. She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughters, Rema McBride of Sparta and Jeanette York of Crossville; sons, Paul Adcox and Franklin Adcox, both of Crossville, George Adcox of Anchorage, AK, and James Adcox of Cameron, TX; brother, George Hamilton of Rockwood; sister, Ruby Lands of Rockwood; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Adcox; brother, Albert Hamilton; and sisters, Laura Melton and Audra Hamilton. Pallbearers were Donald Cloyd, Farron Miles, Shane Collins, Steven Straley, Tony Adcox and Wilbert Broom. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
