Calhoun, MS - Patricia E. Moser of Calhoun City, MS, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, in Baptist Memorial Nursing Home after an extended illness.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Susan) Moser of Crossville; daughter, Leslie (David) Spivey of Calhoun City, MS; son, Steven Moser of Hattiesburg, MS; and son, David (Tamara) Moser of Birmingham, AL; and brothers, Richard Welch, of Mansfield, OH; William (Colleen) Welch, of Arlington, VA.
Grandchildren in the Crossville area include Amber (Joe) Findley; Skye (Dustin) Thomason; and Tess Moser; and great-grandchildren Gavin, Logan and Hannah Findley and Emmalynn and Nolan Thomason, all of Lake Tansi.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Roger R. Moser, who passed away when the couple lived in Jasper, AL, in September 2005; her parents, Gale and Thelma Welch of Mansfield; brother, Wendel of Kentucky, and brother Gene of Ohio. She is survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
Patricia was born in Mansfield, OH, on May 1, 1936, and she married the love of her life, Roger, in 1953.
She spent much of her career in retail store management, but found her true calling in her final position as a United Methodist church secretary in Jasper, AL. A lifelong lover of books, she was passionate about reading and enjoyed staying informed on current events, often engaging in thoughtful conversations with those around her. She also cherished the companionship of her beloved dogs, who brought her great comfort and joy throughout her life.
She loved her friends dearly and her family always came first. She poured so much of herself into the people she cared about and held her family at the center of her world.
She was a member of Lewis Memorial Methodist Church. The family extends their thanks to all of her extraordinary caregivers over the past few years, and particularly the staff from Baptist Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home in Calhoun City. A memorial service will be held at Lewis Memorial Methodist Church Dec. 12, 2025 at 10 a.m. Interment in Rome Cemetery in Shiloh, OH to be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lewis Memorial Methodist Church in Calhoun City, MS or charity of choice.
