Nannie Lou Adcock Obituary

Nannie Lou Adcock, 83, of Crossville, passed away at her home on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017.

She was born March 9, 1934, daughter of the late Robert Hassell Farmer and Lula Lorene Elliot (Farmer) of Springfield, TN, and wife of George Jerry Adcock, of Crossville, married 60-plus years (1953).

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Sabrena Taylor (Daniel) of Crossville; grandson, Shane Honeycutt of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Ollie Evelyn Boyd (Charles) (Stanley Krantz) and Lavon Sanders (Billy), both of Ashland City, TN; and brother, Robert Joel Farmer (Charlene) of Springfield, TN.

She was preceded in death by her son, George Christopher (Chris) Adcock.

Nan was a long time active member of Memorial Baptist Church in Crossville, having lived in Cumberland County since 1961. For several years she was a very active member of the local FCE. About all her life she was a loving housewife, and once served as a store manager of World Wild Fabrics in Crossville.

Her main hobby was sewing and designing handmade shirts and jackets which she presented at both indoor and outdoor crafts shows for several years. She loved to travel to such places as Europe and several bus tours across our nation. Beside tour companies, many consisted of travel with her husband and members of her 1953 Senior High School classmates of Springfield, TN. She loved gardening and planting flowers and was a very active person. She could put a dead stick in the ground and it would turn into a beautiful flowering bush. Her favorite pastime was watching religious programs on television. Nan will be badly missed by her loving family, without there being any doubt as to where she will be spending eternity and that she will be with her beloved Jesus.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church. Interment in the Oaklawn Cemetery near her home in the Pomona Community.

Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
