Maryville, TN - Michael Joseph Converse of Maryville, 88, passed away on Jan. 11, 2026. Born in Massillon, OH, he was the son of Leo and Florence Converse. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, three sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by beloved wife of 63 years, Betty (Kimmel), children: Jerry (Lori), Michele (Scott), Julie (Paul), Jeanette, Margaret, Jonathan (Rachel); grandchildren, Nick (Caitlin), Sydney (Pat), Kimmel, Hadley, Ellie, Emma, Cason, Mary Catherine (Michael); six great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim, Jerry (Valerie), David (Marti) along with many relatives and friends.

Michael attended the University of Akron and taught school before working in graphic design, eventually starting his own business. He served in the U.S. Army and spent his life serving others through various veteran and church organizations. He shared his passion for all things Irish and his love for Notre Dame!
