Memorial services were conducted March 8 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, with Father Gregory Neuzil officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Buffalo, NY. Mrs. Ackendorf was born Sept. 15, 1925 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Leo and Helen O'Donnell Hoehn. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, William P. Ackendorf of Fairfield Glade; sons and daughters-in-law, William F. and Lisa Ackendorf of Grand Island, NY, Paul M. and Suzanne Ackendorf of Grand Island, NY and John M. and Lynn Ackendorf of West Amherst, NY; nine grandchildren; and brother, Leo F. Hoehn of Florida. The family requests that memorial be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, PO Box 1861, Fairfield Glade, TN 38558.
