Marilyn T. Rice
Marilyn Taylor Rice, 77, of Crossville, died suddenly Jan. 10, 2020. She was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of Milton and Margaret Taylor.
Marilyn graduated from King Daughters School of Nursing in 1963 and met C. Tom Rice who was stationed at Sheppard Air Force base in Wichita Falls, TX, and married on Oct. 8, 1963.
She was the loving wife of Tom and mother of three children, Dan Rice and his wife Jean, Cathy Rice and David Rice.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tom Rice, her children and grandchildren. She always bragged about her children and grandchildren. She was kind, compassionate and generous to everyone.
She is also survived by her only sibling, Ronald Taylor and his wife, Katie, and their daughter, Emily.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Marilyn has always been a good Christian woman and knew the Lord. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and taught sign language classes for the deaf in Ohio and Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
