Lloyd Mallon Williams passed away from this life on Jan. 12, 2002. He was born Feb. 19, 1926, the son of the late Ray John and Samantha Back Williams. He leaves his wife, Jesse; and sons Kenneth Lloyd (wife Betty) Williams of Crossville and Jerry W. (wife Terri Joe) Williams of Dayton, OH; daughters Kathy (Mrs. Randy) Stewart of Tipton, IN, and Barbara (Mrs. Ed) Watson of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; wonderful friends and good neighbors; sisters Mary Lou Hames and Joyce Dean of Taylorsville, GA, Carol Noles of Aargon, GA, and Billy Galbreath of Austell, GA; and sister-in-law Violet Williams of Englewood, OH. Lloyd was preceded in death by a beloved wife, Eunice; a brother, Lee Roy Williams; and a sister, Teresea Barnett. Lloyd was a building by trade, a Christian by choice, a member of the Baker's Crossroads Freewill Baptist church, a tireless worker for missions work, and a teacher of Bible prophecy. Near the end of his life, Lloyd was a volunteer for clinical trials of cancer fighting drugs in hope of making a lasting contribution to mankind. Lloyd served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at the Baker's Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens, Bro. Mark Kennedy officiating with special music by Joe and Nonie Randolph. Pallbearers were grandsons Mike Horsley and Jason Williams; nephews Lamar Cantrell, Ron Noles, Larry Noles and Bob Nalli; and honorary pallbearer was Jerry Wayne Williams. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
