Crossville - Linda Darlene (Baisley) Dalton, 58, of Crossville, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 11, 2017.

She was born Oct. 27, 1958, in Crossville, the daughter of Jimmy Baisley and Jewell (Mathes) Baisley.

After graduating Cumberland County High School, she attended Tennessee Technological University where she earned a degree in mechanical engineering.

As well as being a dedicated and beloved mother she was a doting grandmother who loved cross-stitch and crochet, enjoyed nature on her many walks, spending time with family, and studying her favorite book - the Bible. Her Baptist faith was first and foremost in her life as she would share scripture to comfort those around her. In life, she cherished her children and guided them with a gentle, caring and patient demeanor. Her grandchildren were most certainly the apple of her eye bringing much joy, laughter and many many smiles.

She is survived and dearly missed by her son, Josh & wife Stacy Dalton, Crossville; daughter, Emily & husband Elijah Berggren, NC; grandchildren, Shane, Zach and Andrew; mother, Jewell Baisley, Crossville; brother, Danny & Eva Baisley, Crossville; sisters, Peggy and Dee Morrison (Crossville), Mary & Jim Hoffert (Athens, TN), Janet Baisley (Crossville) and Francis & Jim Barr (Crossville, TN); many nieces and nephews; and favorite dog, Cupcake.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Baisley; brother, Donny Baisley; nephew, Michael Kevin Blaylock; grandparents, Lonnie & Fannie Baisley; and grandparents, Claud & Bertha Mathes.

Funeral services will held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at 7 p.m. with Minister James D. Baisley officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
