Crossville, TN - Lillian "Maxine" Grimm, 98, of Crossville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at Life Care Center of Crossville.
Maxine was born on Oct. 19, 1927, in Sistersville, WV, daughter of the late Paul C. Swartzmiller and Pauline Swartzmiller.
She and her husband, Herbert, served over 60 years in Christian ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children, Herbert S. (Janice) Grimm, Victoria Jean (Albert) Byrnes, and Linda Maxine (Roger) Staten; son-in-law, Gregory Keller; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Swartzmiller and Herbert Swartzmiller; sisters, Jean Gumm, Betty Lou Cowgill, and Ruth Ann Belvin.
In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ove Grimm; daughter, Katheryn Sue Keller; grandchild, Lane Staten; great-grandchild, Liam Issac Staten; and siblings, Raymond, Norman, John, Katheryn Mahoney, Carl, and Joe.
Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
