Lila "Granny" Thompson, 81, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 17, 2002. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 21 at Davis Funeral Home in Harriman, TN, with the Rev. Donnie Cox officiating. Interment was in Emory Heights Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born May 29, 1920, in Austin, TX, the daughter of Russell and Melinda Henry. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her sons, Carl Thompson of Pikeville, and Rolland Thompson and David Thompson, both of Oakdale, TN; daughters, Dorothy Chambers of Harriman and Wanda Crass of Cypress, TX; sisters, Lola Smith of Crossville and Alberta Oakes and Alta Fowler, both of Dayton, OH; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
