Pikeville, Tennessee - Justin Sapp, 49, of Pikeville, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025. He worked for the engineering department and was a machine operator for CSX Transportation. He was a member of the union of Brothers of Maintenance of Way Employee Division "BMWED" and IBEW. Justin loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling, seeing different national parks, deer and turkey hunting, and canoeing.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Sapp; maternal grandparents, Dora Swafford and Kenneth Brandon; paternal grandparents, William and Dixie Sapp; step-grandparents, Russell and Hallie Belle Cheatham; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Left to cherish Justin's memories is his loving wife of twenty-one years, Lesley Henry Sapp; parents, Debbie (David) Cheatham; sister, Marsha (Chris) Hankins; step-grandfather, Larry Swafford; father and mother-in-law, Tommy and Brenda Henry; nephews, Breyer and Jaxon Hankins, Trevor, Gavin, Riley, Bradley Cheatham, and Justin Barnes; brother-in-law, Tony (Elisabeth) Henry; step-brothers, Kenneth (Echo) Cheatham and William Cheatham; aunt, Donna Kenyon; cousins, and a host of friends.
A public memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Saturday, May 24, 2025, with Bro. Rick Varnum officiating at Parham Cemetery 250 Cemetery Road Pikeville, TN and located on Old Hwy. 28 in the Sequatchie Valley in Cumberland County. Food will be provided after the service for those who attend at 1472 East Valley Road Pikeville. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mental Health Association of East Tennessee P.O. Box 32731 Knoxville, TN 37930 or website mhaet.com.
