June 19, 1934 — Dec. 13, 2012 John Charles Aber, 78, of Fairfield Glade, passed away Dec. 13 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, with the Rev. Jenny Barnes officiating. Mr. Aber was born June 19, 1934, in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late John S. Aber and Jeanette (Steenstra) Aber. He was retired from Sequoia Supply. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge No. 2751. He served in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife, Jean (Lemel) Aber of Fairfield Glade; daughters, Nancy L. Chadwick of Monticello, MN, and Sheryl L. Spray (Alan) of Wyoming, MN; son, John S. Aber (Cindi) of Saint Charles, IL; stepdaughters, Diane L. Miner (Charles) of Bow, NH, and Robin L. Orzel (James) of Middleburg Heights, OH; stepsons, Fred J. Haller (Sarah) of Beavercreek, OH, and Jeffrey S. Haller (Lisa) of Canton, OH; brother, Robert G. Aber (Sandy) of West Lake, OH; sister, Delores Lang (George) of Brunswick, OH; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria (Alexander) Aber; and son, John Michael Aber. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 481 Snead Dr., Fairfield Glade, TN 38558 or a charity of your choice. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
