Marble, NC - James Walter Warner, 85 of Marble, NC, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025.
James was born in Crossville, to the late John Henry and Cora Eunice Bolin Warner. He was a custodian in the automotive industry and also worked for Rich Tool Company in Elyria, OH. James loved listening to music, especially Merle Haggard who was his favorite country singer and listening to old-time radio shows. He played rhythm guitar in a family band. James was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wallace and Stephen Warner; and one sister, Paula Warner.
He is survived by one brother, Nick Warner; and one sister, Linda Simmons.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, 76 East Adams Street, Crossville. Burial was in Thomas Springs Cemetery in Crossville.
The family received friends from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 prior to the funeral service.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
