Pleasant Hill, TN - Jacque Kay (Wenzel) Johnson, 75, of Crossville, and formerly of Milwaukee, WI, and Machias, ME, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Uplands Village, following a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Jacque was born Monday, June 5, 1950 in Madison, WI, to the late Earl George and Beverly Mae (Christenson) Wenzel. She grew up in Milwaukee, WI. Jacque was a graduate of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. She was compassionate, caring for and serving people until her retirement in 2015. She was especially fond of caring for children and newborns.
Jacque was involved in many community activities, especially those involving veterans, children and animal welfare issues. She was an associate member of the Morgan Strader Detachment of the Marine Corps League and a member of Crossville Quilts of Valor. Jacque was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
Jacque is survived by her husband of 20 years, Curtis Johnson; her son, Paul (Deana) Shave; her daughter, Martha Shave; her grandson, Ryan Shave; her granddaughter, Kristen Shave; and her brother, Jordan Wenzel; and her sister, Jerrie Michaels.
