Aug. 9, 1942—Aug. 15, 2012 Homer Cordell Abston, 70, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Aug. 15, 2012, at Cumberland House Hospice. He was laid to rest in Smith Chapel Cemetery in Pleasant Hill in a private service. He was born Aug. 9, 1942 in Crossville. He was a farmer. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Jerri Cobb; step-granddaugher, Tara Cobb; brother, James Davis and wife, Ann; sister, Pearl Presley and husband, David; and nephews, Michael Davis, Jimmy Davis, Johnny Presley, Ricky Presley and David Ray Presley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Green and Mattie Davis Abston; and wife, Linda Abston. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
