Manchester, Tennessee - Helen Rogers Blankenship, 88, of Manchester passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Autumn Oaks Senior Living. Mrs. Blankenship was born in Kilpatrick AL to the late Walker Alexander and Annie Gilbreath Rogers. During her life, Helen was the co-owner of several businesses across the state of Tennessee, most recently, Blankenship Pharmacy with her late husband, Gene. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, and was the proud, unofficial ambassador for Autumn Oaks- often meeting with prospective families and bringing them comfort about the decision to let their loved one live there. She was also a lifelong Tennessee Volunteer fan. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, David Shields III; second husband, Gene Blankenship; third husband, Jim Stubblefield; one daughter, Lori Diane Shields; two brothers, Donald and Billy Rogers; and one sister, Lane Buttram. She is survived by one son, David (Lisa) Blankenship; one daughter, Darby (Brian) Seagraves; one brother, J. Stanley (Pat) Rogers; one sister, Julia Willmore; four grandchildren, Walker Seagraves, Waylon Seagraves, Rebecca Blankenship, and Alexander Blankenship; many loved nieces and nephews, and the staff and her neighbors at Autumn Oaks, who over the years became like family as well. Visitation for Mrs. Blankenship will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, the family asks that donations in Helen's memory be made to Alzheimer's Tennessee, Inc. P.O. Box 1373, Tullahoma, TN 37388.
