Gertrude Pugh McDonald
Gertrude Pugh McDonald, 98, of Mayland, passed away on Dec. 3, 2019, at Life Care Center of Crossville.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1921, in Mayland, daughter of the late Burton Pugh and Mahala (Elmore) Pugh.
She and her husband, Herman D. McDonald, moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1963. After his death and upon her retirement, she moved back to Crossville in 1987. Gertrude was a good Christian woman and an outstanding wife and mother. She will be missed dearly and always remembered.
Gertrude is survived by her daughters, Geneva Crownover (Roy), Barbara Hodge (John) and Dora Smith; sons, Lloyd McDonald and Larry McDonald; daughter-in-law, Wanda Crockett; granddaughters, Kelly Geronimos (Tony), Jennifer Smith and Jackie Scaringella; grandsons, Dale Crownover (Tina), Gary Crownover (Victoria), Scott McDonald and Terry McDonald (Amber); 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband, Herman D. McDonald; son, Kenneth McDonald; granddaughter, Christy Kennedy; sister, Effie Stokes (Rob); and brother, Edgar Pugh (Ruth).
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. at Bilbrey Funeral Home. Interment will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:30 to 1 p.m.
