Feb. 22, 1948 — May 11, 2010 Ernest Earl Abston, 62, of Crossville, passed away May 11, 2010. Funeral services were held May 15 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Reagan officiating. Interment was in Mayland Cemetery. Mr. Abston was born Feb. 22, 1948, in Fentress County, the son of Henry Earl and Hazel (Threet) Abston. He was a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include his brothers, Ray Abston (Donna) of Kenosha, WI, and Claude Abston (Dee) of Crossville; sisters, Mable Christine Vanwinkle (Veral) of Crossville, Mary Wilson (Terry) of Monterey and Glenda Robbinson (Harold) of Crossville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Fralit) Abston; and brother, Johnny Abston. Pallbearers were Scott Connor, Trigg Threet, Dewayne Schubert, Justin Russell, Shawn Robinson, Andre Stephens, Shawn Donohue and James Cravens. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
