Crossville, TN - Edna Sue Harrison Patton passed peacefully at home Monday, Sept. 22, 2025. Born in Pleasant Hill in 1937 to George and Meta Harrison, she grew up in Crossville and loved her hometown and its history. She loved to write, she loved to garden, and she loved her family and friends. She held special her contemporaries in her Cumberland County High School 50s group and faithfully communicated with them to organize their get togethers.

Edna Sue or MamaSue, as she was affectionately known to many, was active in her community, serving on boards including Friends of the Library and Uplands Village. She was president of Plateau Properties for a number of years, was very proud of that family business and loved telling stories to the children who came through on their fourth-grade tours.

She drew the most joy from a noisy house full of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom reflected her love right back.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Patton, and her grandson, Bo Patton. She is survived by brother, George Edgar (Sandy) Harrison; son, Rob (Trish Evans) Patton; daughter, Patrice (Mark) Compton; son, Earl (Rachel) Patton; grandchildren, Susan Compton (Ryan) Seay; Witt Compton; Abigail Patton (Tim) Sinard; Becca Patton; Ben Patton; Luke Patton; and Matt Patton; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Seay, Crawford Seay, Penelope Sinard and Eloise Sinard.

Memorials in her memory may be made to Cumberland County United Fund.

Celebration of Life will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 27, 10 a.m. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the Celebration of Life.
