Dottie was born in NYC, to parents, Teddy and Ellen Sandvik. She married Willard Bickel in 1948. They raised three children in Vineland, NJ. After retiring, they moved to Crossville. Bill passed away in 1988, and Dottie remained to enjoy the town that she loved. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and son, Rick, and daughter, Gwen. Dottie is survived by daughter, Robin, in Washington, and grandchildren and great grandchildren in Wa and TN. There will be a memorial service Thursday, January 23, 10:30 am, at Shepherd of the Hills, officiated by Pastor Andrew Abraham. Her ashes will be interred at the church columbarium.
