Crossville, Tennessee - Curtis Campbell Sr., 53, beloved husband, son, father and Pop-pop.
Curtis was born in Nashville Jan. 6, 1972 to Eulenia and James Alvin Campbell and was raised in Crossville. He married Penny Campbell and had four children.
Curtis was a quiet man that liked to joke around and make you laugh, but he preferred to be home with his dogs and family. He loved his family but he's had a few dogs that if he had to choose family or them, he'd choose his dog.
He enjoyed hunting with his dad, Alvin James Campbell, and David Leffew, building and riding go karts, and spending time with his family.
On July 24, 2025 The world lost a good man. Curtis passed surrounded by his family at Cookeville Regional.
He is proceeded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Campbell; both of his brothers, Earl and Dale Campbell; his mother, Eulenia Campbell; nephew, Asa Kemmer; grandparents, James Earl Campbell, Minnie Johnson, Arthur and Georgia Barnwell; aunts, Judy Barnwell, Thelma Hall, Mary Barnwell, Lennis Potter, Elsie Miller, and Ella Mae Hughes; uncles, Gilbert Barnwell, Paul Barnwell, John Barnwell, Ervin Barnwell, Floyd Barnwell, and Billie Barnwell.
He is survived by wife, Penny Campbell; father, James Alvin Campbell; daughters, Tonia and Amanda Campbell; son, Curtis Campbell Jr.; grandsons, Cody and Jessie Campbell, and Kason Orr; granddaughters, Bella and Jaelyne Tuttle, and Sophia Campbell; mother-in-law, Ione Boggs; sister-in-laws, Angie Boggs and Kelly Colich; nieces, Samantha Collins, Ashley Campbell, Megan Campbell, and Britney Boggs; nephews, Brett Thompson and Brandon Thomas; uncle, Ronnie Campbell; and aunts, Bertha Benson, Debbie Myers, Donna Parrot, Sharon Miller and Connie Wyatt.
Curtis wanted to leave this world the same way he lived it, quietly with dignity and respect. He didn't believe in saying goodbyes after someone is already gone, so there will be no public services. Crossville Memorial will take care of the cremation. We will have a private ceremony at a later date.
