Charlotte Ann Adams (Ashburn) Obituary
Charlotte Ann (Ashburn) Adams of Crossville entered Heaven's gates with Thanksgiving on Nov. 26, 2020, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a brave warrior and fought hard against this disease with all her might!
Charlotte was born in Dayton, OH, to Effie and Arthur Mae Ashburn on Oct. 5, 1951. She was the second youngest of seven children. She was raised in Crossville where she attended Cumberland County High School and played basketball there. In the '80s she made the move to Texas and spent many years there. She returned to Tennessee later in life and lived out her remaining days there with family. She was caring and had a huge heart to love her family and many friends that crossed her path. Any time you were in her presence she had a way of making you feel special and really listened and took the time to get to know people. She often would tell her daughters stories of the friends she made and how they touched her life. So, if you are a friend to her then please know how much she treasured each of you! We wish to celebrate her life this coming spring, where we can celebrate her outside where she loved to be.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Ashburn of Crossville; her three daughters, Melissa Ann Keith (Scott) of Knoxville, Tanya Denice Maddux (Curt) of Conroe, TX, and Jennifer Charlotte Tuttle (Adam) of Crossville. She is blessed with seven amazing grandsons and three bonus granddaughters of whom she is such a proud Mamaw - Hunter Brown, Gentry Brown (Holly), Colin Brown, Jace Holt, Adam Barringer, Matthew Maddux, Sydney Maddux, Abigail Tuttle, Addison Tuttle and Payton Tuttle. And her most beloved and proud great-grandson, Easton Ray Brown. She also loved her caretakers and cherished their loyal friendships and compassion. Her daughters are so grateful to all those that cared for our Mom during her life and at the end of her illness. Your love and kindness will always be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie and Arthur Mae Ashburn; her sisters, Linda Gail Ashburn and Julienne Ashburn; her brothers, Jerry Ashburn, Bobby Ashburn and Roger Ashburn; and special friend, David Rhodes.
