Crossville, TN - Carl E. Sexton, 81, of Crossville, passed away on June 27, 2026, at Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center.
Mr. Sexton was born on May 13, 1945, in Jellico, TN, son of Earl Sexton and Edna Sexton.
He served in the United States Navy and worked as a carpenter for TVA.
He is survived by his sons, Carl E. Sexton, Jr. (Vickie); Michael D. Sexton (Donna); and Timothy W. Sexton (Mary Cox); daughter, Sherry L. Smith; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna "Tootsie" Richards (Boyd).
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann Sexton; and brothers, Wendell Sexton and Jack Sexton.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Crossville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends the night before, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church.
