Burnice Jean Hughes
Burnice J. Hughes, 73, of Crossville, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.
She was born April 24, 1946, in Crossville, daughter of Thomas Milton Garrison and Laura Lena (Pippin) Garrison.
She worked as a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, John Hughes of Crossville; children, Theresa Ray (John) of Crossville, Kim Shaver (Eric) of Crossville, John Hughes Jr. (Linda) of Cartersville, GA, Mary Bolin (Mike) of Crossville, Ruby Hobbs (Steve) of Seneca, SC; brothers, Leo Garrison of Crossville, Dillon Garrison of Crossville, Tommy Garrison of Crossville; daughter-in-law, Darlene Looper.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Burnice is preceded in death by first husband, Donald Fate Looper; son, Donald Keith Looper; step-daughter, Jackie Keel; brothers, W.J. Garrison, Kenneth Garrison and Bill Garrison; sister, Diana Bolin.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. with Bro. Roland Smith officiating. Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dayton, TN.
