Murfreesboro, TN - Betty Lou Stephens Reed passed away on July 4, 2026. She was born in Sweetwater, TN and worked at Volunteer Electric in Crossville for 32 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert G. Stephens and Rosa Lee Stephens; brother, Robert L. Stephens; and sister, Ada Oliver. She is survived by her husband, Joe. F. Reed; son, Joel D. Reed; daughter, Stephanie (James) Henry; grandchildren, Savannah Henry and Sarah Henry; and best friend, Sue Breeding.
Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jennings and Ayers with Glen Money officiating.
