Melvin Brown, 88, was born on November 20, 1935 to Clinton and Christine Brown in Dayton, OH. He passed away on August 20, 2024 at his home in Crossville, surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Brown, Dora (Brown) Sherrill, and Shane Brown; grandchildren, Ashley Sherrill, Mark Sherrill; and 5 other grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Brown) Brock; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Roscoe Brown and Christine (Frye) Brown; brothers, Carl Brown and Marvin Brown; and sisters, Sue (Brown) Newberry and Wanda (Brown) Sauder.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the service to follow at 1 p.m., Mark Hall officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mayland Cemetery immediately following the service.
