Funeral services for Amanda Jane Adams, 84, Crossville, who passed away Feb. 22, 1997, were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 25 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home with interment at Slate Springs Cemetery. Elders Austin Hamby and Jerry Hassler officiated. Pallbearers were Donald Adams, David Gibson, Scott McDonald, Eugene Adams, Keith Adams, Terry McDonald, John Weaver, Ralph Gibson, Leroy Gibson and Gary Adams. Mrs. Adams was born May 20, 1912 in Cumberland County to the late Perry and Nancy Turner Dixon. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Adams; brothers, Horace, Lee and Zack Dixon; two children; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Wilda Gibson, Eula Keagle and Wanda Crockett, all of Crossville; sons, Dennis Adams, Donald Adams, Cleo Adams and Danny Adams, all of Crossville; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Ray Dixon of Crossville; and sister, Ethel Lee of Harriman. Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
