Alex "Skip" Ray Sweet Obituary
Crossville, TN - Alex "Skip" Ray Sweet, 81, of Crossville, passed away on July 15, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Mr. Sweet was born on Sept. 9, 1944, in Monterey, CA, son of the late Alexander Sweet and Beverly June Sweet.
Skip served our country in the Coast Guard. He also worked as a long-haul truck driver for a nuclear waste company.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Kate Sweet; children, Samuel Luke Sweet and Sugar Deanne Diedra Lowe; daughter-in-law, Kelly Foster-Sweet; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Skip is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Allen Sweet; sister, Diana Sweet; and brother, Terry Sweet.
Funeral Service was held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. with burial following at Crossville City Cemetery.
