William "Wes"'s Story
William "Wes" Wesley Campbell, 91, of Crossville, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at Life Care Center of Crossville.
He was born Dec. 23, 1925, in Crossville, son of the late Lee Campbell and Ersa Emmaline (Price) Campbell. Wes worked in concrete construction and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. He also proudly served in the Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Koch & husband Bill, Deborah Frazier & husband Billy, and Patricia Ball, all of Crossville; and sisters, Jean Barnes of Ohio and Lucy Anderson of Florida. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wes was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Castle) Campbell; son, Gary Campbell; grandson, Joshua Ball; great-grandson, Nathaniel; brothers, Carson Campbell, Frank Campbell, Henry Campbell and Jay Campbell; and sister, Mae McCormick.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Monday, July 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Wilkerson officiating. Interment in Crossville City Cemetery with full military honors.
