Dec. 24, 1930—Sept. 11, 2015 William Douglas Chirstmas, 84, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 11, 2015. He was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Old Hickory, TN, the son of Leonard and Nokie Layne Christmas. He was retired after many years from Ford Glass Company. He was also a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Korea War and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Fay Christmas; sons, Lynn Christmas and wife Margaret and Tim Christmas and wife Rita, all of Crossville; sister, Nancy Holsizer and husband Harold of Greenbriar, TN; grandchildren, Robby Christmas and wife Amber, Trista Christmas, Jacob Christmas and his fiance Kayla Hayes and Jerrod Christmas; and great grandchildren, Dawson and William Christmas. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Mersereau officiated with burial in Big Lick Cemetery. Full military honors were given. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
