William Rex Carr, 53, of Crossville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
He was born Dec. 4, 1962, in Crossville, son of Melvin Carr Sr. and Delia Glennell (Lewis) Carr.
William worked for the Bledsoe County Prison System as a corrections officer.
He is survived by his mother, Glennell Carr; brothers, Melvin Carr Jr. (Rhonda) and Melvin Sapp (Diane); sisters, Penny Edwards (Jerry) and Geisha Carr (Marty); and nieces and nephews, Amanda, Gerri, Bruce, Cassie, Buck, Gabe, Maddie, Bruce Jr. and Kyson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Carr Sr., and grandparents.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Greg Williams officiating. Interment in Thomas Springs Cemetery.
