William Ben Carr, 79, of St. Augustine, FL, formerly of Crossville, passed away Nov. 3, 2016. He was born Dec. 19, 1936, in Crossville, the son of Shirley and Viola Carr. He was retired as owner-operator of B&S Sign Co. in St. Augustine.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Carr of Crossville; sons, Michael Carr and his wife Lora and Jeff Carr, all of St. Augustine, FL; daughter, Vickie Andrews and her husband Michael also of St. Augustine; sisters, Lottie Edwards and her husband Art and Grace Mason and her husband Joe, all of St. Augustine; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and step children, Kristie Cox and Timmy Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette Carr, and sisters Mary Emert and Betty Lou Carr.
Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Hood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Craig Funeral Home in St. Augustine, FL, with burial in Hughes Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully asked that donations be made to Cumberland House Hospice, 140 Kates Korner, Crossville, TN 38555.
