William "Bill"'s Story
William "Bill" Gibson Kemper, 81, of Crossville, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at Cumberland House in Crossville.
He was born Dec. 24, 1935, in East Point, GA, son of Robert Kemper and Joelma (Gibson) Kemper.
Bill worked in the automotive tire business as a salesman, and was of the Baptist faith. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Kemper, Crossville; son, Randall Lynn Kemper-Gracy & wife Kristin, Knoxville, TN; and daughter, Starla Jean Smith & husband Maj. Gen. Jeff Smith of Virginia. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Kemper.
Graveside services were held at Green Acres Memory Gardens on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Roland Smith officiating.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
