Jan. 3, 1944—April 18, 2015 Victoria A. “Vicki” Baker, 71, of Monterey, passed way Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, April 20, 2015, at noon at Plateau Road Independent Baptist Church. Rev. Freddy Melton officiated, with interment following in Welch Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to the service. Mrs. Baker was born on Jan. 3, 1944, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Joseph C. and Mildred Miller Ross. Mrs. Baker was a medical assistant. She grew up in Cincinnati and moved to Florida with her husband and sons and lived there for 20 years before making Monterey her home. She was a member of Plateau Road Independent Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph C. Ross Jr. and Raymond Ross. She is survived by her husband of almost 49 years who she married on June 4, 1966, William R. “Bill” Baker; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeffery M. Baker Of Val Rico, FL, Stephen C. and Tammie R. Baker Of Val Rico, FL, and Randall Scott and Miranda Baker Of Monterey, TN; and two sisters, Joanne Robertson Of Cape Coral, FL, and Kathleen Weaver Of Cape Coral, FL. D.M. Goff Funeral Home, Inc., of Monterey is in charge of the arrangements.
