Oct. 6, 1915—Aug. 21, 2015 Cora Tressa McKheen Benson Ferguson passed away Aug. 21, 2015, at her home in Fairfield Glade. Tressa was born Oct. 6, 1915, in Athens, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caleb Shell McKheen and Mamie Lee Hicks McKheen; husband, Roy Lee Ferguson; son, the Rev. Wayne Lee Benson; McKheen brothers, Floyd Edward, Loyd Leon, H.R. Miller, Arvil Dake, Franklin Delno and Caleb (Snook) McKheen; step-son, Herman Ferguson; step-daughter, Cynthia Torbett; and step-grandson, Tony Ferguson. Tressa is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Gentry Benson, with whom she made her home; also step-son, Franklin Ferguson; step-granddaughters, Mary and Judy Ferguson; grandchildren, Tressella Benson Jaggers and Parker, Aaron Lee and Billy Wayne Benson; 11 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Vernon and Victor Hugh. Funeral services were held Aug. 24 at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church and in Athens, TN, at Haycock-Hobbs Funeral Home. A committal service will be held today, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. EDT at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens, TN. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc.
