Sept. 17, 1931—March 17, 2015 Tommy Creed Miller, 83, of Sparta, passed away on March 17, 2015, at Cumberland Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 17, 1931, in Crossville, to James and Verchie Emery Miller. Tommy enjoyed his job as a truck driver and loved being with friends and family. He dearly enjoyed listening to bluegrass and gospel music. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with Bro. Larry Potter officiating. Burial will be in Glade Creek Cemetery. Tommy is survived by his sons, Larry Miller (Sheila), Stevie Miller and Tommy Ray Miller; daughters, Cathy Phillips (Keith) and Wanda Bohannon; grandchildren, Shane Miller, Trinity Miller Meagan Davis, Lindsey Miller, Greg Horn, Crystal Hale, Joey Miller, Valerie Miller, Tammy Davenport, Avery Davenport and Peggy Christianson; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Willard Miller, Elzie Miller, Frank Miller and Calvin Miller; and sister, Glenna Hardy. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Verchie Miller; wife, Ila Rhee Miller; son, Jimmy Lee Miller; brothers, Howard Miller and James Miller Jr.; and sister, Faye Marsh. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
