Hi Mary Catherine and Maureen, I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. My mother told me about your calling her, Mary Catherine. I know she appreciated that very much. She has so many fond memories of your dad, and your mom. I have several myself! Your dad always had a twinkle in his eye and saw delightful mischief in so many of life's travails and foibles. What a gift! We were all so lucky to have had him our lives! I will keep you both, and your families, in my thoughts and prayers.
Tommy Hanifer, my backyard neighbor and friend .Many Hanifer memories come to mind. YOu and Jim (it was Tommy and Jimmy then!) were about the coolest boys ! Tom you were always laughing and smiling. Growing up in the 40's and 50's in such a special place as Crestwood was fortunate for us. I remember how excited you all were when Marie and Kenny were getting married - especially your Mom.
No doubt in my mind that those Annuciation alums were cheering your arrival in heaven .
You have finished the race Tommy, the crown of heaven is yours!
Denise and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I've known Tom since 1970. He was a really good man.
He did a lot for me and always had good advise for me.
He recruited me into the Knights and also to participate in the Special Olympics which was very rewarding.
He organized several trips that meant a lot to me especially a trip to South Carolina for a Notre Dame football game.
He volunteered to video and photograph my wife's 40th birthday party and we will always cherish the memories in good part due to his efforts.
Sylvia and I wish all your family peace as you look back on all your happy memories with tom.
We will pray for you.
May God welcome Tom to heaven and console all Tom's family. I like to think of the
trip to Alaska which we all enjoyed together. With my love and prayers, Katherine Brosnan
Thank you, for your service, sacrifice and dedication to our great nation. May the Lord comfort your loved ones.
Hey Tom, my mind has been flooded with so many little incidents in our lives for the past 4 days. These memories about you and me are mine to cherish. Many were plain fun, some devilish but I do not have the space to share with the reading public. Although miles separated us we were ALWAYS close to share our entire life together. Your obituary is not the regular canned obit but truly "Tom's Story" which tells a life story in a warm and beautiful fashion. I always say the author can only make a story good if he/she has good material. Your story is made up of only good material. . So as the older brother, I salute you for a "Job well Done, as Breadwinner, US Army MP , Husband Father, Grandfather, Photographer, Videographer and life long best little "Brudder".Rest In Peace Tom. Brother Jim

May God take this wonderful Man, Husband and Father into his gracious arms. Tom will always be remembered for his dedication and kindness. God's speed Tom Hanifer!
