Thelma "Mae" Jackson, 91, of Crossville, passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Wharton Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill, TN.
She was born Saturday, April 11, 1925, in Big Laurel, KY, daughter of the late Joseph Miniard and Nancy Ann Miniard. Mae was a retired postmaster for the United States Postal Service and was of the United Methodist faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Andy) Lyon and Debbie (Lynn) Orme, all of Crossville; sons, Paul (April) Wayne Jackson, Kingston, TN, Fred Jackson, VA, and Clay Jackson, KY; and brother, Darrell Miniard, KY. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Jackson; sister, Alpha Estridge; and brothers Earl Miniard, Major Miniard and Murphy Miniard.
Graveside services and burial were held at Green Acres Memory Gardens on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at noon.
