Terry D. Phillips, 66, was born June 1, 1949, and went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2016, in Crossville.
In 1967 he joined the U.S. Army. He served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. A longtime Memphian, he worked at the VAMC as a vocational counselor until his retirement. He will always be remembered as a faithful follower of Christ, loyal husband and loving dad.
He is survived by his wife Gail and daughter Lacey, her husband Cameron Sexton, and their daughter, Greer Rowe Sexton. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Clark.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Floretta Phillips; sisters, Betanya Vanlandingham and Lisa Saylor; and son in law, Jason McRae.
Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at 2 p.m.
