Tena M. Sharp, 84, of Crossville, passed away April 7, 2016. She was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Monticello, KY, the daughter of Lewis and Sophia Penticuff Rigney. She taught school, grades 1-8 in three rural schools in Kentucky before moving to Crossville. She was a devoted Christian lady who was a member of Isoline Baptist Church. She had a tremendous love for children, family and her Lord and Savior. She was also a gifted seamstress who loved to quilt.
She is survived by her children, Denton Sharp, Paula Pryor and husband Clydie and Martha Kilgore and husband Ronnie, all of Crossville; sisters, Pauline Brown of Monticello, KY, and Mary Coffee of Somerset, KY; 12 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; son, Kenneth; brother, Felix Rigney; and sister, Lois Gosser.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Woody Cemetery. Bro. Robert Lawrence and Bro. Scott White officiated.
