Ruby's Story

Ruby Jewell Kerley Tabor, 91, of Crossville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at her home in Crossville.
She was born April 18, 1925, in Crossville, TN, daughter of the late Walter Brown Lowe Kerley and Zona (Burgess) Kerley. She worked at the Fairfield Glade Stables as the office manager, and was a member of the Living Church of God. Ruby loved her family and her Lord very much. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolina Jones (Ed), Crossville, Connie Shadwell (Rich) and Suni Nelson (Scott), all of Crossville; and sons, Larry Tabor (Connie), Pikeville, TN, and Tim Tabor, Crossville. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Perry Tabor; son, Tony Tabor; grandsons, Jeff Tabor, Gary Dwight Tabor and Michael Andrew Tabor; granddaughter, Toni Renee Tabor Gardner; and brother, Hubert Kerley.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at 3 p.m. with Danny Howard officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers/honorary pallbearers were Dewayne Tabor, Ronnie Tabor, Jason Eldridge, Tony Eldridge, Steve Bridge, Brian Bridge, Ty Tabor, Drake Nelson, Nicholas Tabor, Cliff Tabor, Chris Tabor, Caleb Johnson, Chad Tabor and Derek Johnson.
