On April 28, 2016, Romalina Thompson, 75, of Crossville, left behind her family, church family (Faith Assembly of God) and her legacy.
Romalina was born in Carcar Cebu, Philippines, and has been living in Crossville since she met the love of her life, the late Aubrey Thompson Sr., in April of 1974. Mrs. Thompson held her church very close to her heart and thoughts. She enjoyed warm, sunny days and being outside gardening. Romalina has taught Cumberland County High School students for 25 years. She has never stopped teaching, whether it was math or life wisdom. We all know she taught us the importance of education and how no one could ever take our education away from us.
Romalina is survived by her children, Renee Boston (Brooks) and Glenn Thompson (Olana); brothers, Domingo Baclay (Juno), Roschilino Baclay and Heathcliff Lanas; and sisters, Monalisa Bucao and Kitty Camomot.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Thompson Sr.; parents, Domingo and Vitalianna Baclay; brothers, Evanilito Baclay and Dennis Baclay; and sister, Angeles Baclay.
Family received friends on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service was also held on Saturday with Steven Pickard officiating. She was laid to rest in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Cumberland County.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
