May 10, 1947—Feb. 3, 2016 Roger Hill Vandever, 68, of Zephyrhills, FL, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills, FL. He was born May 10, 1947, in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late Horace Vandever and Mabel (Rodgers) Vandever. He worked at General Motors as a line worker and was of the Baptist faith. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Billee Jane Vandever of Zephyrhills, FL; brother, Joe Vandever (Brenda) of Knoxville; sister, Joan Owens (Harold) of Kingston; grandchildren, Kacie, Dominic and Sophia; niece, Jennifer Vandever; and nephew, Jeffery Owens. He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Vandever; and mother, Mabel (Rodgers) Vandever. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Kenny Plemons officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
